Stated under section 140 of the East African Community Customs Management Act 2004, the EAC Council of Ministers is mandated to grant remission of duty on raw materials imported into a partner state upon request and fulfillment of certain conditions by manufacturers in identified areas. Successful applicants are therefore compiled and published through the EAC gazette for all the East Africa Countries.

Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) is organizing the 10th Annual National Nutrition, Health and Safety Fair scheduled from 4th - 7th July 2018 at the UMA Conference hall - Lugogo Show Grounds. The health fair will be officially launched with a CEO’s Networking Luncheon under the theme: Creating Partnerships that Foster Better Employee and Community Health.

26th Uganda International Trade Fair

The Uganda International Trade Fair, which is the largest exhibition organized in Uganda, is next year organizing the 26th Uganda International Trade Fair 2018 (Dates to be communicated) at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Show Grounds, Lugogo, and Kampala.

UGITF that takes place every year since 1992 offers an international marketing platform for multi-sectoral goods and services from within and outside the East African region. The fair that has been a consistent business partner for many companies / organisations over the past twenty five (25) years is going to run under the theme: "(To be communicated)

Uganda Manufacturers Association the organisers of the Uganda International Trade Fair wishes to invite your company/ organization for this next years exhibition that is going to feature more than 20 special events including; Seminars, Exhibition Parades, Networking Cocktails, a Gala evening among others that will provide a platform for participants to establish business contacts and exchange market information amongst themselves and with the general public.

We have both indoor and outdoor exhibition space. The charges for exhibition space is as follows:

  1. Indoor space in the Exhibition Halls
    • Main Exhibition Hall 1:…………………US $ 100 per sq.metre (minimum:9 sq. metres).
    • Main Exhibition Hall 11……………...…US $ 90 per sq. metre (minimum: 9 sq. metres).
  2. Indoor space with partition stands on cement screed/terrazzo floor ………US $ 100 per sq. metre (minimum: 9sq.metres)
  3. Indoor bare space ……………………………US $ 85 per sq.(minimum: 30 sq.metre)
  4. Outdoor space (Bare Ground)……….US $ 1200 per 30 sq. metre (minimum: 30 sq. metres)
  5. Outdoor paved area………………….US $ 40 per sq. metres (minimum: 25 sq. metres)

The cost of space is exclusive of 18% VAT.
